PSW Staff
12/21/12 11:40 AM,
When veteran restaurateur Casey Staker conceived of Zest Kitchen and Bar, located in Salt Lake City, he knew it had to have a great sound system – and he also knew that he had to have ultimate control over the performance and volume of that sound system. Local A/V integration firm Performance Audio obliged, using a Symetrix Jupiter 8 processor to dial in Zest’s fidelity and a Symetrix ARC-WEB to provide custom control of all relevant parameters directly from Staker’s…

PSW Staff
10/23/12 08:51 AM,
“Live from Daryl’s House,” the webcast-turned-syndicated-TV-show on the Palladia Channel featuring noted singer-songwriter Daryl Hall, has earned acclaim for its eclectic mix of musical guests and genres, as well as unscripted, real-life moments and powerful musical performances. The show is taped at Hall’s house in rural upstate New York, and as Hall’s long-time engineer Peter Moshay explains, the show’s authenticity is part of the appeal - there’s nothing contrived about it. “This is really Daryl’s home,” he says. “We come…

Church Sound: You Stream, I Stream, We All Stream… But Why?
Mike Sessler
10/15/12 11:03 AM,
This article is provided by ChurchTechArts. Every time I attend a technology conference, I hear a lot of talk about streaming. In fact, I was just asked to speak at a day-long workshop devoted to streaming (and after this post, I may not be invited back…). Wherever you go, you hear streaming. I talk with techs all over the country who want to start streaming their services live. Or their pastor just found out you can do it, and…

How The Touchpanel Is Reinventing Commercial System Integration
Daniel L. Newman
09/12/12 10:24 AM,
This article is provided by Commercial Integrator The touchpanel is not in any danger of going away. Nope, no danger at all. I am also prepared to declare a winner of the touchpanel debate. With Crestron, AMX, and Extron appearing to be the market leaders, it isn’t easy to name a winner…
