This calculation will give you the ratio, in decibels, between two power values.  For example, you can calculate the difference in dB between to amplifiers with different power output specifications.  Enter any two values and press “Calculate” for the remaining value. Press “Reset” before performing each calculation. Equation used to calculate the data: dB = 10 * Log(Pout / Pin)   View this post

Latin America has long been a strong market for Adamson touring loudspeaker systems, and recently a wave of permanent installations have been taking place, including a notable one featuring Adamson at CEAD (Centro Evangelista de las Asambleas de Dios/Evangelistic Center of the Assemblies of God) in the tiny Central American country of Honduras. CEAD, founded 14 years ago, is headed by Pastor Miguel Montoya and his wife Jacky, with the sanctuary offering seating for 2,600 and a total capacity of… View this post

    Michael MacDonald 06/28/11 02:46 PM,
It’s not earth-shaking news: we currently live in trying economic times. We have to do more with less, have seen friends leave jobs, and, in some cases, leave the pro audio industry completely. Companies of all types are downsizing. Smaller budgets, dwindling revenue, reduced staff and less time to get the job done make our work tougher. At the same time, the demand for performance is increasing, not decreasing! What gives? Despite the fact that some businesses aren’t doing well;… View this post

For more than a decade, the Chesapeake Inn has been a favorite spot for celebrating weddings, graduations and other memorable events, its breathtaking, windswept views of the Bay a backdrop for good food, good friends and good times. But the Inn’s waterfront location presented an ongoing challenge to their ability to be good neighbors, with the sound reflecting off the water resulting in some complaints from homes in the area. The multi-room facility includes an outdoor deck and Tiki Bar,… View this post
