The Bergen Performing Arts Center—aka BergenPAC—a non-profit theater in Englewood, New Jersey has recently chosen to add a permanent house system which features Kara line arrays from L-Acoustics. Formed by the merger of Nativity of Our Lord and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishes in 2009, Divine Mercy Parish recently dedicated its brand-new sanctuary. Located a dozen miles northwest of New Orleans, the 19,600-square-foot church seats up to 950 parishioners and features a lovely interior with exposed trusses and a high, vaulted, wood deck ceiling; a stained-glass window wall that separates the narthex from the nave; and new loudspeakers from Renkus-Heinz. Though it might be a heavenly place to… View this post

“I’m going to equalize the room.” We’ve all heard that statement so many times that we scarcely think about what it literally means. We know that in practical terms it means adjusting an equalizer to suit your taste. It may be done with the latest high-technology analysis equipment, voodoo magic or simply tweaking away “until it sounds right.” In any case, are we really “equalizing the room”? What exactly are we doing? There are lots of disagreements on this topic… View this post

When a large house of worship organization installs a concert-sized PA rig, it’s news. But in the case of Dallas-based Covenant Church the interesting part goes well past just the install of new L-Acoustics K2 arrays. It is a story five years and five church campuses in the making that involved three different loudspeaker manufacturers. The Carrollton campus of Covenant is its primary location, which includes a 1,850-seat auditorium that regularly plays host to the A-list of contemporary Christian artists,… View this post

Merlin Entertainments has revealed that it is making extensive use of Audinate’s Dante audio networking technology at a variety of its London attractions. These include a number of popular sites on the city’s South Bank, including the Coca-Cola London Eye, SEA LIFE London Aquarium and Shrek’s Adventure! London. The installation at Shrek’s Adventure! London – which opened in July 2015 – is particularly notable given that it is “one of the ‘heaviest’ attractions that Merlin has created in terms of… View this post
