The new Telefunken Elektroakustik ELA M 251T condenser tube microphone features the company’s CK-13 capsule, while based upon the classic ELA M 251 models. The new ELA M 251T features an implementation of Alloy 2213 as the diaphragm membrane material for the capsule. Alloy 2213 is an amalgam of Titanium and Aluminum, which was originally developed for the aerospace industry. TELEFUNKEN USA CEO Toni Fishman and Alan Veniscofsky, Director of Operations, recently returned from Frankfurt, Germany, where they attended a conference of the TELEFUNKEN worldwide Partner Alliance. Participants in the conference included TELEFUNKEN licensees from Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, various East European countries, Russia, Israel, Middle and Far East. Ryan Tedder, lead singer of One Republic, recently recorded with the new TELEFUNKEN USA Ela M251 condenser microphone at Cleveland’s Ante Up Audio.
