Miami’s newly renovated Hialeah Park Raceway and Casino recently installed Tannoy loudspeakers powered by Lab.gruppen amplifiers. Dallas Texas-based, Marsh/PMK International LLC - the new incarnation of Pelton Marsh Kinsella (PMK)—was tasked with the project. Choosing Tannoy loudspeakers and Lab.gruppen amplifiers was based on a wealth of past experience with both company’s products, says Marsh/PMK international consultant Dave Stearns. “We’ve been using Tannoy for this type of application pretty much since they started making ceiling speakers,” Stearns says, “and Tannoy has… View this story

University Christian Church (UCC), located on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, recently upgraded its sound reinforcement system in a project headed by Tannoy loudspeakers. Curt Taipale, owner of Taipale Media Systems (TMS), headquartered in Allen, TX, was tasked with designing the new system. He worked closely with SAV, a Plano-based system integration company that handled the installation. “The existing sound reinforcement system was more than 20 years old,” explains Taipale. “I worked alongside media and… View this story

Since its founding in 2001, Grace Point Church (GPC) has made an effort to remove the traditional barriers that hinder the ‘unchurched’ from attending worship services. Ultimately that factored into the deployment of an audio system comprised entirely of Tannoy loudspeakers and Lab.gruppen amplifiers for their new worship center in July 2013. Providing highly intelligible, natural sounding reinforcement during services of both speech and live performances by their twelve-piece praise band was a priority, but GPC also wanted the facility… View this story
