Situated in the Pico Rivera section of Los Angeles, the El Rodeo Nightclub is a popular social gathering spot and restaurant that recently completed a substantial facility upgrade to better accommodate the ever-increasing weekend crowds. Live entertainment is a huge part of the club’s attraction and, to provide the best possible sound for the various bands that perform there, the decision was made to improve the house sound reinforcement system. Now, the El Rodeo is the proud owner of a…

For its pioneering role in popularizing the satellite campus approach, The Church Report proclaimed Seacoast Church the 15th most influential church in America. Over 8,000 attend Seacoast services every weekend across thirteen campuses in three states. The church’s original campus is located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and that is still from where founding Pastor Greg Surratt delivers his message every weekend, in the flesh. Seacoast recently called upon Summit Integrated Systems to design a new sound system to replace…

While it’s nothing new to place a limiter immediately in front of a power amplifier to keep it from clipping, there is more that can be accomplished with a limiter to squeeze a bit more low-frequency performance out of a loudspeaker while keeping it within its safe operating area. Most loudspeaker systems have a limited excursion capability. The voice coil and cone assembly can travel only so far before the motor strength significantly decreases, the suspension (surround and/or spider) reaches…

Located at the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio, Cypress Wesleyan Church (CWC) is an anchor of the community. Its congregation, which now stands in excess of 2,000 members, appreciates a spirited service, with an accomplished contemporary orchestra and thirty-voice choir. However, for years the church limped along with an imperfectly implemented DIY sound system in a room that was far from ideal, in any respect. With capital funds raised, CWC recently constructed a new 1,200-seat sanctuary adjacent to its existing facilities.…

Both models feature On Point Audio’s NP18N cast frame 18-inch woofer, which employ the brand’s proprietary Single-Side voice coil. The Single-Side voice coil enhances the woofer’s heat dissipation capability, thereby improving reliability and minimizing power compression. The Single-Side voice coil also eliminates voice coil rubs as a potential…

Stage features performances from well-known and up-and-coming artists, and draws crowds of NAMM attendees throughout the Convention’s four day run. The stage is named for NAMM’s “Wanna Play?” campaign, a public awareness initiative designed to encourage more people to play musical instruments.…
