Sennheiser is expanding its Sound Academy educational seminars to also include installations. The seminar series, which began in 2006 with courses focusing on RF wireless techniques and studio recording tips and tricks, is being re-launched with additional courses, more instructors and a new price. The Sennheiser Installed Sound Academy will comprise two seminars, one for consultants, contractors and designers, and the other for technicians and operators, on consecutive days at each location. While Congress voted in February to extend the deadline to June 12, 2009 for U.S. television stations to covert to all-digital transmission (DTV), the transition is well underway, with digital transmission already common in major markets.
