UK-based microphone manufacturer SoundField has supplied Deep Blue Sound audio and music technology college with their SPS200 Surround Zone plug-in. Deep Blue Sound underwent an extensive refit last summer, installing new Pro Tools recording workstations and upgrading studio equipment. SoundField has begun shipping the first quantities of its latest product, the UPM-1 stereo-to-5.1 converter, a 19-inch rack processor designed to create 5.1 content from old program material that only has a stereo soundtrack.
