Syn-Aud-Con will be presenting the Syn-Aud-Con Digital Seminar in Dallas, on September 14-16, 2009. The seminar is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to digital audio, digital signal processing and networking. This is the only time this class will be presented in 2009. This class is taught by three instructors - Steve Macatee, Brad Benn, and Pat Brown - each coming from a different background, making this team diverse and highly qualified. The newest wireless system offering from Lectrosonics, the D4, is the first one I’m reviewing that does not use the UHF spectrum. Instead, the D4 runs in the license-free ISM band between 902 and 928 MHz. Unlike the UHF band, this slice of spectrum is only 26 MHz wide (as opposed to over 230 MHz for UHF).
