Fulcrum Acoustic and Rational Acoustics are co-sponsoring a technical tour of Haze Nightclub at Aria Hotel and Casino, City Center - Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 9, at 6 pm. The tour will feature a full demonstration of the nightclub’s 16 zone audio system as well as its LED wall and lighting system. Rational Acoustics has confirmed a new Smaart Training Class in Houston, Texas, slated for October 27 - 29 at LD Systems. The class will follow the standard three-day format and will be taught by Smaart Guru Jamie Anderson of Rational Acoustics. Days 1 and 2 cover: Fundamentals Applications Day 3 will be the working practicum/advanced class. Rational Acoustics has appointed SonoTribe Audio Consultants as the official providers of Spanish language Smaart Training Classes for Mexico and Latin America. Founded in 2007 by Oscar Gamas and Salvador Castaneda, SonoTribe provides system design and analysis services for a wide variety of clients across Latin America in addition to teaching classes in audio theory, system design and implementation. Summer is here, and a good many of us are out working those “mud and dust” shows, fairs and festivals. We get to clean amplifier filters on a daily basis, put wedges into garbage bags to keep them dry, mix with visqueen draped over the console (also to keep it dry). Rational Acoustics has announced the launch of the Noise Stick, a phantom-powered pink noise generator and the first acoustic test and measurement accessory product to be designed and distributed under the Rational Acoustics brand name.
