Rat Sound Systems has named David Myers as its new Director of Installations. Myers has more than 20 years of experience in designing, managing and completing installation projects nationwide focusing on sound, video, lighting and AV. After originally working in the live sound industry, Myers focused full time on systems contracting for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Rat Sound Systems of Oxnard, California has beefed up its inventory of L-Acoustics K1 systems to a grand total of 64 with the recent purchase of 16 additional enclosures. The new line source array systems are on track to arrive in time for April’s Coachella and Stagecoach festivals, which will feature multiple K1-equipped stages. EAW is now shipping the MicroWedge15 stage monitor (MW15), the newest addition to the MicroWedge Series of products that also includes the MicroWedge12 monitor (MW12).
