Indie-Rock band Sound Driver is currently midway through a very unusual world tour. The musicians are visiting some of the world’s most iconic venues as a way of raising awareness for children’s charity The Smile Train. To date they’ve played at the Sydney Harbour Bridge and even broke a World Record on Mount Kilimanjaro. The third oldest Roman Catholic church in Belfast, the architecturally-superb St. Malachy’s, was recently restored. The work included not only brick and plasterwork, a marble altar, mosaic floor and fan-vaulted ceiling, but a new sound system as well thanks to QSC. QSC Audio has announced an extension to the AcousticDesign ceiling loudspeaker range with the release of two new high-output models: the AD-C1200 and AD-C820/C821. The AD-C1200 features 12-inch low frequency woofer, 1.75-inch diaphragm compression driver, 300-watt continuous power rating, and a 70-volt/100-volt multi-tap transformer (enabling the system to operate in distributed or low-impedance mode). Caméléon has opened its first ecologically-built store in Europe on 10,000 square meters of shopping space, at Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Belgium. Turner Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves, originally opened as the Centennial Olympic Stadium for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Following the games, it was converted to a baseball park, with was part of the plan all along, and the Braves moved in at the start of the 1997 season.
