The most notable thing about weekly services at Christ’s Church at Mason (Ohio) is that each service is in a distinctly different style – traditional, contemporary and blended. The church’s 1300-seat sanctuary was recently renovated with a new sound system to handle the contemporary and blended services while a smaller chapel was built to handle the traditional service. In a retrofit project that delivers high-impact, reliable audio to a historical parish, Hercules, California-based Pro Media/UltraSound recently upgraded the sound system at St. Joseph’s Church in Pinole, California with JBL Professional VP Series loudspeakers. Arvest Ballpark, the 6,500-seat ballpark in Springdale, Arkansas for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Texas League/Double-A affiliate for the Kansas City Royals, features PA system headed by EAW MK2300 and MK5300 Series loudspeakers backed by EAW KF750 high-output point source loudspeakers with the company’s proprietary V4 Technology. Ever since my most recent steady house gig became not quite so steady, I’ve been banished to a 14-foot straight truck to do gigs that usually come at the last minute.
