The new subwoofer is engineered for maximum power transfer when operated with Class D and similar (iPal compatible) amplifiers. Designed for vented and bandpass subwoofer cabinets, the subwoofer works best with amplifiers capable of delivering 2600 Watts (10,000 Watt peak) of power.     Eighteen Sound debuted five new products that join its growing family of coaxial loudspeakers, and they were on display at the recent Prolight+Sound/Messe in Frankfurt. The new 8CX650 and 10CX650 feature ferrite motors and provide extended LF. Each has a nominal dispersion of 90 degrees. The 2.5-inch (65-mm) LF copper voice coil employs the company’s proprietary Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology.
