Clear-Com will unveil two additions to its Eclipse digital matrix intercom family, including a new line of V-Series rotary panels and the Eclipse MADI (E-MADI) card at the NAB Show (Booth C8008). Solid State Logic is pleased to announce that Rik Simpson has installed a Matrix in Coldplay’s Beehive studio in North London. Coldplay set up the Beehive in 2010, and Chris Martin asked Simpson to be involved in the design and build of the new studio. St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albany, Oregon had several audio issues they needed to resolve. While some were structural like the unforgiving reverberant space and improper loudspeaker placement, others were functional such as being forced to use an entire mixing console for minimal audio needs.
