At the NAMM 2012 Show, Mackie introduced the DL1608, which combines a full-featured digital mixer with the ease and mobility of an iPad. The DL 1608 incorporates 16 Onyx mic preamps and 24-bit Cirrus Logic AD/DA converters. Wired to wireless iPad control allows mixing from anywhere in the venue. Mackie has announced a partnership with New Japan Radio Corporation to develop a new op-amp exclusively for Mackie mixers. The new M-80 op-amp performs exceptionally well, offering low noise, high drive and class-leading channel separation.
