Lectrosonics recently received technical certifications for its products in Europe and Japan, and has completed the conversion to lead-free solder and production to meet RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) requirements for Europe. Products to be distributed for these export markets are all based on Lectrosonics’ acclaimed Digital Hybrid Wireless technology and initially include the SM “Super-Mini” Series of belt-pack transmitters, the new HM plug-on transmitter, the UT handheld transmitter, the SRA slot-mount, dual-channel receiver, and the Venue modular receiver system.…

While Congress voted in February to extend the deadline to June 12, 2009 for U.S. television stations to covert to all-digital transmission (DTV), the transition is well underway, with digital transmission already common in major markets. Orlando, FL-based Total Entertainment Productions utilized Lectrosonics wireless microphone and instrument systems for the recent “Word Out” Festival Battle Of The Bands, an Orlando-area festival featuring live performances by 15 bands.
