Following a 10-year dark streak and $10 million, two-year restoration project, the greater Los Angeles area has witnessed the rebirth of another iconic entertainment venue, the Fox Theater Pomona. Rat Sound Systems is the sound company for the current concert tour by Blink-182, providing its new L-ACOUSTICS K1 loudspeakers and subwoofers, as well as all other audio gear and support. One of Russia’s largest rental companies, St Petersburg-based Euroshow, has acquired an L-Acoustics inventory comprising 24 KUDO Line Source System cabinets and eight SB28 subwoofers, powered by LA8 amplified controllers housed in the recently-launched L-Acoustics LA-RAK. L-Acoustics has announced its 2009 training seminar schedule, with seminars designed for both technicians and mixing engineers and encompassing the fundamental aspects of Wavefront Sculpture Technology (WST), system integration, setup and design. Specifically, sessions cover L-Acoustics product lines KIVA, dV-DOSC, KUDO and V-DOSC, as well as the LA amplified controller platform and LA NETWORK MANAGER software.
