    3D Sound Installation Kicks Off With JBL Loudspeakers

    The University Art Museum (UAM) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) kicked off its prestigious and innovative audio installation of “Metal Machine 3: The Creation of the Universe” with an appearance by Lou Reed, American rock superstar. In order to provide the unique 3D sound necessary for the event, Arup, specializing in acoustic consulting, installed twelve JBL PRX612M compact powered speakers, arrayed spherically to create a fully immersive 3D sound environment.
