    The auditorium at Bingham High School, located in South Jordan, Utah, recently underwent a substantial facility upgrade in order to improve its sound reinforcement capabilities.Lectrosonics’ Digital Hybrid Wireless microphone and Aspen audio processing technologies were key components in the new system.  Salt Lake City, UT-based BNA Consulting Inc. was contracted to design the school’s new sound reinforcement system.     Hillbarn Theatre’s The Color Purple utilized a combination of wireless microphone, DSP, and audio networking technology from Lectrosonics to ensure the production was an audio success. Sound Designer Alan Chang of San Francisco, CA-based Coral Canopy, was brought in to serve as the sound designer and mix engineer for the show.     This year’s annual Montreal Jazz Festival featured a wide assortment of artists from Earth, Wind & Fire, B.B.     SAE in Mexico recently opened a new live audio engineering degree course, installing Allen & Heath’s new Qu-24 compact digital mixer as the teaching console. Supplied by Allen & Heath’s Mexican distributor, Audyson, students will learn to mix using Allen & Heath digital mixers, starting with the Qu-24 and progressing onto larger consoles, such as the GLD-80.     The Naz Church in Grove City, Ohio main auditorium seats approximately 2,800 people and has a congregation of 3,000. The church recently installed two Yamaha CL Series digital audio consoles (a CL5 at front of house and a CL1 at monitors), eight Rio input/output boxes: two Rio3224-D, two Rio1608-D, two Ri8s, and two Ro8s.
