The Green Gold Club Bars & Restaurants are located in the atrium of a purpose built leisure centre in downtown Zagreb, the capital of the Republic of Croatia. Perković partnered with Toni Martinez to organize the main stage.…

For the fifth year in a row, Peavey Versarray line arrays and Crest Audio power amplifiers are being utilized for sound reinforcement on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. “We have used the Peavey Versarray line array since we debuted the Jägermeister Mobile Stage in 2007, and we couldn’t be happier with the performance and sound quality,” says Jack Carson, director of event marketing at Jägermeister. “The Rockstar Mayhem Festival has grown even bigger this year, so we’re bringing an even bigger…

Frederic Joassin and his brother Fritz created Prosound Plus Totobeat Inc. in Haiti in 2003. Since the beginning of their adventure, the Joassin brothers have invested in professional audio equipment in order to provide sound system for live concerts and for shows during Haiti’s renowned Mardi Gras. “The 2010 earthquake was a really tragic moment for the people of Haiti—it devastated a huge part of our country,” remembers Frederic Joassin. “But we did not lose faith in the future, we…

Bristol-based event production company SXS Events was recently commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to provide sound and full technical production for the royal unveiling of the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. This followed a multi-million dollar restoration project as a result of fire damage to the 143-year-old clipper back in 2007. SXS was tasked with constructing and outfitting a dais stage, while the main PA was the company’s new Martin Audio W8LM line array. The production company deployed a…

With a full catalog, as well as songs from last year’s “The Kings of Limbs” and some brand-new material, you can’t ever know for sure what surprises are in store at a Radiohead show, because no two are exactly alike. I caught up with the current concert tour during a U.S. West Coast stop – and in the only interview of the sound team granted to a North American audio publication – talked with longtime front-of-house engineer Jim Warren, as…

Beautiful, elaborate, ornate, the Timisoara National Theatre in Romania stands within the Palace of Culture, an arts centre conceived in the Viennese style by architects Hellmer and Felmer, and was opened in 1875 at the height of the Belle Époque. Unfortunately the venue, which seats approximately 600, has been plagued with acoustics issues due to the relatively shallow room that features balconies that are both deep and steep. “It makes it difficult for the sound to reach the last rows…
