For the 16th year in a row, a broad range of Audio-Technica microphones was selected to outfit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. A-T supplied over 50 mics to capture the music for the 28th annual induction ceremony, which took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on April 18, 2013. For The Beach Boys’ 50th Anniversary world tour and continuing engagements, the band has chosen the M80 dynamic microphone from TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik in the new “Woody” faux oak finish. The first 15 mics off the handmade assembly line went out on the 50th Anniversary world tour and were signed by the band to raise funds for their favorite charity, The Surfrider Foundation. Dutch PA company, SoundWorks, supplied 28 Allen & Heath ME-1 personal monitor mixers for iconic singer, Lee Towers, who recently hosted concerts over several nights at the New Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam. Monitor engineer, Jens Koolwijk, managed audio design on the project, and tested several personal monitor systems before selecting ME. van Koolwijk commented: “The decision was an easy one - ME just works like clockwork!
