UK-based microphone manufacturer SoundField has supplied Deep Blue Sound audio and music technology college with their SPS200 Surround Zone plug-in. Deep Blue Sound underwent an extensive refit last summer, installing new Pro Tools recording workstations and upgrading studio equipment. As part of the upgrade and overhaul, a new advanced microphone technique module was added. John Hayes and Jesse Ashby have been named the recipients of the 2009 Robert Bosch Scholarships through the NSCA Education Foundation. These $2,500 scholarships are granted to students pursuing careers in the electronic systems industry or a related field. Hayes attends Columbia College Chicago and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Audio Arts and Acoustics.
