PSW Staff 02/23/12 11:29 AM,Solid State Logic is pleased to announce that Rik Simpson has installed a Matrix in Coldplay’s Beehive studio in North London. Coldplay set up the Beehive in 2010, and Chris Martin asked Simpson to be involved in the design and build of the new studio. Further, all four band members upgraded from the classic ProPhonic 2X-S to the Sensaphonics 2MAX. “Most of the backline crew also have Sensaphonics IEMs,” says Monitor Engineer Chris Wood. “We have found the drivers to be very reliable. Keith Clark 04/17/09 12:27 PM,Bloomberg.com is reporting that the founders of the file-swapping website Pirate Bay have been sentenced to jail time (one year each) by a Swedish court, who further ordered them to pay compensation and damages of about $3.6 million. So, the good guys win one. Not that it would seem to matter all that much when there’s so much piracy still going on without a realistic way to curtail it.
