Be it consoles we would like to work on, or individual modules we would like to own, or equipment that is used as a point of reference for our industry. I’m probably asked 10-15 times a day if “it sounds like a Neve” [the point of this ‘chat’ is…

Brad Nelson: Hi Cubby, Now that you have mixed on V-DOSC, Clair I-4 and VERTEC line arrays, which do you like better and why? Cubby Colby: Tough question, Brad. They all have their own priorities. The VERTEC seems to be the easiest to rig. The V-DOSC is everywhere in the world. The I-4 is also a good line array, also with very good rigging. But most importantly they all sound very good. For me, technically, V-DOSC and VERTEC have their…

When using the delay locator, Smaart assumes that the right delay setting is at the highest peak of the waveform. At low frequencies - is that really the right thing to do, I mean the “waveform” starts at a zero energy level..or? At 40 hz, there is some time between zero and top of the impulse. (Does…

Moderator: Welcome to tonight’s live chat session with Ron Sauro, who’s been gracious enough to join us to talk about EASE and new EASE 4.0. Ron, can you start by talking a bit about your background and experience with EASE? Ron Sauro: Sure. I have been using EASE since 1991, and during that time I have worked with Dr. (Wolfgang) Ahnert in developing the software both directly and indirectly. I also use the software in my business of consulting in…
