It boasts two spacious patios and two floors of comfortable seating, along with a game room and a large, but wonderfully cozy bar. Utahans gather at Gracie’s to enjoy communal events, such as the Super Bowl or World Cup Soccer on twenty-two flat screens. The bar also brings in DJs and live music but its sound system was difficult to tame on such occasions. Gracie’s recently…

Ashly Audio will introduce pêma (Protea Equipped Media Amplifier), a powered processor, at InfoComm 2010. By merging Ashly’s open-architecture DSP functionality with Ashly’s amplifier in a two-rack space unit, pêma lowers overall system cost, occupies less space, improves energy efficiency, and both speeds and simplifies system installation and programming. Four and eight amplifier channel versions are available at both 125 and 250 Watts per channel. “Pêma changes the way consultants and integrators approach sound system design.” “With only the addition…

Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida recently razed its existing sanctuary, saving the small original chapel from the wrecking ball, and built a new one in its place, capable of seating some 750 congregants. A 49 stop, 63 rank pipe organ serves as its centerpiece, and a substantial A/V system serves to support spoken word and all manner of classical and contemporary music. An Ashly ne24.24M DSP provides the brains for the sound reinforcement system. Moorings hired Riedel and Associates…

The extensive sound reinforcement system serving the new Lancaster County Convention Center (LCCC) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania features network-ready Ashly Audio NE8250 power amplifiers. Interestingly, these amplifiers didn’t exist at the outset of the original system design for this long-delayed building project. “Now that it’s all finished, the preservation of the famous façade is a wonderful aspect of the center, and well worth the hassle during construction,” said Mark Showers, system specialist at Sage Technology Solutions in nearby Mount Joy. Sage…
