After 17 years of service, it recently came time to overhaul the sound reinforcement system in the sanctuary of New Life Christian Ministries in order for it to keep pace with the church’s ambitious programs. The new Biema MAX 10 loudspeaker combines the advantages of wide frequency response and dynamic range with low harmonic distortion and high fidelity. The MAX 10 high-frequency component employs a BMS driver made in Germany, while the rotatable horn provides 50-degree by 80-degree coverage. The 10-inch woofer is mounted in a vented enclosure tuned for optimized low frequency response. An internal passive filter network provides all acoustical crossover and equalization. The extensive sound reinforcement system serving the new Lancaster County Convention Center (LCCC) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania features network-ready Ashly Audio NE8250 power amplifiers. In a high-profile international application of JBL touring systems this summer, rental sound company Touring Services supplied an expansive audio system for the Global Gathering Freedom Festival at the Borovaya Airfield in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus in northern Europe.
