West coast-based audio-video integrator Pro Media/UltraSound has completed the installation of a large EAW loudspeaker system at Rimrock Auto Arena, which is located within the MetraPark multi-facility events campus in Billings, Montana. When it opened in 1940 with a capacity of 7,000, Cameron Indoor Stadium was the largest indoor arena in the southern United States. Today, relatively unchanged after more than 65 years, it’s one of the smaller collegiate arenas in the nation, but a funny thing happened along the way: Cameron Indoor Stadium has deservedly earned legendary status as one of the truly great places to attend college basketball games. In fact, Sports Illustrated magazine ranks it number four on a…

That thought was applied to every aspect of the team’s operation, on the court and off – including the audio mix. “The Thunder organization contacted me and they were concerned that Ford Center’s sound system wasn’t adequate to handle the playoffs,” said Jerry Hooper, owner of Hooper…

Nearly 600 drummers got their chance to be in the global spotlight earlier this month, as they raised funds for a leading UK multiple sclerosis charity, setting a new world record into the bargain.
