The Audio Engineering Society (AES) has confirmed that registration is now open for its 47th International Conference on Music-Induced Hearing Disorders, which will take place at Columbia College in downtown Chicago, June 20-22, 2012. An AES standards task group chaired by Kevin Gross is currently developing an interoperability standard for audio networking. The focus of the project, which is called “X192,” is addressing the need for interoperability between products of many different manufacturers.
