Spain became the very first testing ground for the new Adamson “Project Energia” beta launch. (Read more about Project Energia here.) Adamson distributor Seesound, together with sound provider Fluge, arranged the first E15 system in Europe to premiere at the Low Cost Festival in Benidorm, Spain, which featured Mika and Ok GO!, among many others. Now ready for a full tour, Fluge is putting the E15s to the test with Spanish metal band Los Marea. The tour begins in Arnedo,…

Adamson Systems Engineering has announced the commencement of the much anticipated Project Energia. The project was conceived after years of analyzing inefficiencies found in sound reinforcement and with performance venue optimization. The key components of Energia include a new series of loudspeaker systems with networkable Class D amplifier modules, DSP, cable and power distribution, AVB network hardware with software integration of control, and three-dimensional (3-D) simulation and diagnostics. To ensure reliability and a smooth integration of Adamson technology, there are…

Latin America has long been a strong market for Adamson touring loudspeaker systems, and recently a wave of permanent installations have been taking place, including a notable one featuring Adamson at CEAD (Centro Evangelista de las Asambleas de Dios/Evangelistic Center of the Assemblies of God) in the tiny Central American country of Honduras. CEAD, founded 14 years ago, is headed by Pastor Miguel Montoya and his wife Jacky, with the sanctuary offering seating for 2,600 and a total capacity of…

John Legend’s most recent tour in support of his album release Evolver extended through much of 2009, ending up with sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Touring with a sound reinforcement system provided by Escondido, CA-based Sound Image, the main PA included Adamson Systems line arrays powered by Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers. Front of House Engineer Gordon Mack selected a Digidesign Profile console for his mixing needs, also recording shows on 96 channels of Pro Tools. Monitor…

It’s hardly rare to hear the words “major motion picture event” applied to a summer film. Visually stunning or not, whether it’s the latest Hollywood biopic, all-star comedy or action adventure, the phrase is attached to big budget summer flicks so permanently and casually that we hardly take notice.
