Beyma will be presenting its latest paper, “Target Modes in Moving Assemblies of Compression Drivers and Other Loudspeakers”, at the AES Convention.

The paper will be presented by Fernando Bolaños and Pablo Seoane of Beyma on Saturday, October 4, 9 am to 10:30 am, at Session P15.

The paper focuses on tools to find the normal modes in moving assemblies, not just in simulation but also experimentally, and it also shows how statics can be useful to understand and predict how to find these specific modes in dynamics.

Further, the paper details study of the “breath mode” of a voice coil by means of simple excitation, which Beyma notes has helped them optimize their design process by lowering the number of prototypes, in addition to helping to explain and take the corrective actions related to the issues seen in prototypes.
