Aviom Showcases New 6416m Microphone Input Module

Aviom showcased the latest addition to its Pro64 Series of audio distribution products, the 6416m Mic Input Module, along with companion products, the RCI Remote Control Interface and the MCS Mic Control Surface. Aviom’s newest products all target the installation, production, live performance, broadcast and post-production markets.

The 6416m delivers 16 state-of-the-art remote-controllable mic-level inputs to a Pro64 audio network. Each channel on the 6416m has a continuously variable gain setting, multisegment signal level LEDs and individual channel on/off switches.

The 6416m supports all valid Pro64 sample rates, from 44.1/48kHz± to 192kHz±. Because the system does not rely on sample rate converters, users are guaranteed pristine, low latency distribution of the digital signal regardless of the sample rate of incoming audio.

Highlights:
* 16 state-of-the-art mic-level inputs (XLR)
* Switchable pad per channel for line-level inputs
* Passive splitter/alternate input (two DB25s)
* Continuously variable gain control per channel, in 1dB steps
* Phase, low cut filter, and +48V phantom power per channel
* Six-segment level meter per channel
* Individual channel activation switches
* Virtual Data Cable™ (VDC) connectivity for GPIO, MIDI, and RS232
* Variable sample rates: 44.1kHz± to 192kHz±
* 24-bit A/D converters
* Internal universal power supply; IEC power connector
* Four-pin XLR connector for optional backup DC power
* Remote controllable over A-Net with the RCI Remote Control Interface and MCS Mic Control Surface combination
