The premium KSE1500 Electrostatic Earphone System defines a new standard of portable listening, placing the highest-fidelity audio in the hands of active listeners. KSE1500 is the world’s first Sound Isolating™ electrostatic earphone system.  This system includes electrostatic earphones matched with an amplifier featuring High-res digital-to-analog (DAC) conversion and customizable EQ for tonal control. The KSE1500 provides unmatched detail and clarity for those seeking the most accurate performance from their portable and traditional audio sources.

  1. The implementation of an electrostatic driver this nearly mass-less diaphragm reproduces sound that most accurately correlates with source material. Offering a measurably faster transient response, the electrostatic driver also offers a wider frequency range than standard dynamic or armature driver technologies. This single MicroDriver design makes the KSE1500 the first application of electrostatic technology for Sound Isolating earphones.
  2. The two components of the system—the KSE1500 Electrostatic Earphones and the KSA1500 DAC amplifier—are matched electrically to maximize performance and efficiency in a portable form factor.
  3. A Dynamic Combination: Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones Coupled with a Matched DAC Amplifier—the KSE1500 is a complete premium system for portable audiophile personal listening. Featuring the first ever Sound Isolating electrostatic earphones coupled with a matched DAC amplifier (via a six-pin LEMO connection), this proprietary combination provides listeners with the highest-fidelity portable audio experience available to date.
  4. The KSE1500 also has an on board—bypass-able—DSP, which features a customizable 4-band parametric equalizer allowing the user to precisely shape the frequency response.
  5. Intuitive Graphic User Interface—to offer streamlined navigation for quick and simple selection of the KSE1500 settings, Shure designed an intuitive graphic user interface, which includes: a tactile control knob, dual-functionality button, hold switch, color OLED screen for easy navigation.
  6. The system features a 55-inch custom-designed Kevlar™ reinforced cable that isolates each conductor, and features a formable wire that offers a secure, custom fit for over-ear cable placement. To minimize ear fatigue, the KSE1500 Sound Isolating Earphones have a lightweight, ergonomic shape.
  7. To achieve the most secure and comfortable listening experience possible, Shure has included eight different types of Sound Isolating sleeves; the earphones can also support after-market custom-molded sleeves.
  8. For maximized usability, there is an integrated USB rechargeable battery that can conveniently charge from provided wall charger or computer: even when streaming USB audio. The KSE1500 System provides seven to 10 hours of battery life, depending on input and DSP mode.
