Alcons Audio USA VR12 compact pro-ribbon monitor

The VR12 is a compact 2-way passive-filtered multi-purpose monitor, for both portable and permanent applications. Featuring the multiple patented Alcons RBN601 pro-ribbon driver, the VR12 is ideal for applications where very high output, very high fidelity sound reinforcement is needed. It delivers a 1:1 uncompressed reproduction of the original sound source.

The VR12’s components are a 6” pro-ribbon driver with “Real-90” horizontal dispersion and 1.000 Watt peak power handling for MF/HF and an 12” vented mid-bass driver for LF. The frequency response is 74Hz. up to 20kHz. (+-3dB). Because of the RBN601’s fast transient response and the flat “ribbon-famous” frequency response, the VR12 excels in “reference-monitor” detailed performance from low to high SPL’s. It excels in absolute maximum gain-before-feedback and 1:16 RMS-to-peak dynamic ratio. The wedge-shaped enclosure and the 90-degree revolvable 90°x40° or 60°x30° wave-guide make the VR12 ideal as compact FOH system or fill-in cabinet; The 37-degree floor angle make it also the perfect choice for (high-power) floor monitoring as well as under-balcony sound system. The SIS™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the VR12 and ALC amplified loudspeaker controller (damping factor 10.000) resulting in tight and accurate mid and bass response. SIS™ also substantially reduces linear, as well as non-linear distortion.
