Soundcraft has revisited the control topology employed on the ground-breaking Spirit 328 and 324 digital consoles. Above each fader is a rotary encoder, the function of which changes according to the mode selected, along with a high resolution OLED screen. This “bank” of encoders, known as the VCS or Virtual Channel Strip can be set to control every function of a channel (known as Channel mode), so mic gain, EQ, dynamics, auxes, panning etc. The power behind the Si3 is a dedicated DSP engine, capabale of handling all DSP functions without running out of power.
The sound quality is highly acclaimed, the user interface is close to analog in use, and the inclusion of Lexicon effects and 35 BSS Audio 30-band graphic EQs completes a high-value package in a single console solution with all I/O connections built-in. You won’t need to compromise functionality to save DSP power, and changing settings does not interrupt the audio.
This console simply drops in where an analog desk used to be, is easy to use, sounds fantastic and looks great too!
The Soundcraft Si3 is designed for live use on both touring sound systems and in fixed installations and its intuitive operation and high input and bus count makes it a perfect choice for House of Worship sound systems. Theatre users will also find the Soundcraft Si3 very applicable in their area.
