EAW QX Series

The QX Series represents EAW’s state-of-the-art permanent installation solution, embodying the classic EAW engineering values of high output and high fidelity with minimal distortion and broadband pattern control. The three-way design includes 4x 12-in LF transducers and a coaxial, 2-in exit MF/HF compression driver loaded with a constant directivity horn.

The QX Series breaks new ground in system design and efficiency. The physical design aligns the low, mid and high frequency sections vertically and horizontally to deliver coherent summation through crossover regions. Phase Aligned™ LF transducers leverage multi-source interaction to extend vertical and horizontal pattern control well into the LF range. The remarkably compact enclosure measures just 28 inches square in front and 24 inches deep. It delivers performance comparable to systems twice its size and weight. The ultra-efficient MF/HF compression driver features 113 dB sensitivity and requires just 175 Watts of amplifier power to produce 141 dB peak output.

The QX Series is unique in every way. The biaxial symmetry of their physical design gives the systems a distinctive look unlike any loudspeaker on the market. The QX Series’ performance puts it in the class of the largest, more robust loudspeakers, yet it measures just 28 x 28 x 24 inches. QX Series offers five different coverage patterns plus a matching subwoofer system, yet the enclosures are identical. It represents the epitome of efficiency in physical design, acoustical performance, system integration and efficiency.
