Designed from the beginning with performers and monitor engineers in mind, the MicroWedge offers features not found in other stage monitors. All MicroWedge designs incorporate coaxial components for better coherence and feedback stability compared with a split horn / woofer design. The 12” and 15” versions come equipped with a passive / bi-amp selectable switch and when performance is critical, can be partnered with the UX8800 signal processor for even higher levels of fidelity and feedback rejection offered by Gunness Focusing. While stealthy in appearance, its exterior has been scrutinized and features EAW’s RoadCoat finish and heavy gauge steel screen.

The MicroWedge design has “stealth” in mind. It has an extremely low profile and its exterior is void of connector panels, logos and other hardware that makes other monitors eyesores for sensitive installs. The passive, bi-amp option is an added value while the steel grille is strong enough for even the most ambitious heavy metal band member! The bass port couples directly to the floor and provides the safe harbor for the switch and connectors. MicroWedge also has optional feet to tilt, pole adapter for tripod mounting and a clamping mechanism to allow MicroWedge to fly from trussing!
MicroWedge was designed to create the building blocks for sound companies to grow with the product and certain features were included to allow these companies to build their inventory over time. The MicroWedge can initially be operated using its internal, passive crossover. The end user may then opt to upgrade performance with bi-amping, using supported processing they may already have in inventory? When the timing is right or finances permit, the user may decide to move to the highest level of performance using the EAW, UX8800 DSP to take advantage of the proprietary Gunness Focusing correction algorithms.
The MicroWedge series of stage monitors provides new levels of coherency and feedback stability through the use of coaxial technology and DSP when partnered with the EAW, UX8800 signal processor. Currently offered in 12” and 15” versions, MicroWedge is set to become the new reference for stage monitoring worldwide.
