The LR7 2-way line-array system features a vented 6.5” woofer + 4” pro-ribbon driver with 4” voice-coil. Loaded with the Alcons proprietary, patented RBN401 pro-ribbon driver on a “Morpher” lens (with 94% active frontal radiation!), the LR7 system features a 90° or 120° dispersion of choice with seamless coverage, due to the pro-ribbon’s all-natural cylindrical (Isophasic) wavefront. Its transient response and unusual high peak power handling (800W/200mS) caters for a superb intelligibility and throw, while offering maximum “gain-before-feedback” up to directly under the array. The LR7’s LF response can be extended in combination with a LR7B line-array bass system and/or one of Alcons quarter-wave loaded or self-contained cardioid subwoofers. The SignalIntegritySensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the LR7 and ALC amplified loudspeaker controller, resulting in a very tight and accurate mid and bass response. Typical applications for the LR7 include as main system for theatre, A/V or corporate events where minimal sightline obstruction is required, with exceptional sound reproduction.
