Due to the exceptional low frequency extension of the IS 62, it may be substituted for applications traditionally requiring an 8-inch or double 6-inch woofer. For stand-alone reinforcement applications, the IS 62 is capable of high output and forms a complete system when coupled with a subwoofer. Use the IS 62 in any application where a compact cabinet is required to provide clear, precise sound. The IS 62 provides exceptionally linear pattern control through crossover making the loudspeaker perfect for critical applications including night clubs, auditoriums, houses of worship, performance halls, arenas and stadiums.
The IS 62 includes a 6.5-inch long excursion low frequency driver crossed over at 1.6 kHz to a horn loaded 1-inch compression driver with a coverage angle of 90 degrees horizontal by 60 vertical defined
by the -6 dB points in the coverage pattern. The horn is field rotatable. Frequency response is from 90 Hz to 19kHz +/- 3 dB and extends down to 68 Hz at -10 dB. Nominal impedance is 16 ohms, with power handling of 120 watts average and up to 450 watts peak. Measured peak SPL is 122 dB in full space with 92 dB-SPL sensitivity measured at 1 meter at 1 Watt. The cabinet is constructed of 8-layer 12mm Birch plywood painted with acrylic enamel with the front covered by a painted steel grille with foam backing. Cabinets have eight M8 threaded rigging points and both Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminal struos. Dimensions in inches are 15.5 x 8 x 9.
