In developing Axient, Shure has created a solution that simplifies the wireless experience while maximizing performance. A suite of six unprecedented features enables superior performance, even in the most challenging wireless environments. Axient offers audio professionals the ability to simplify complex radio frequency (RF) environments by continuously scanning the ultra-high frequency (UHF) spectrum; performing compatible frequency coordination; and monitoring, ranking and deploying backup frequencies on demand to virtually eliminate drop-outs during use.
The combination of Axient’s intelligent features delivers increased control and flexibility for the end-user. As a result of Axient’s introduction, the world’s most-watched live sound and broadcast productions can take place without interference.

Interference Detection and Avoidance- Axient’s continuous scan automatically detects and flags the first sign of interference; the system then re-assigns the audio to an alternative frequency with zero interruption in a fraction of a second; before Axient, this feature was unheard of in the wireless market

Frequency Diversity- the ability to make a “failsafe” switch between frequencies is made possible by Axient’s Frequency Diversity mode. The system’s Dual Channel Receivers continuously monitor two identical signals sent from a Frequency Diversity transmitter to provide optimized audio on a single channel

Spectrum Management- the Axient Spectrum Manager defines a new standard for RF management tools.  It provides accurate wideband scanning and intelligence for choosing the best frequencies. The Spectrum Manager can monitor any UHF frequencies used by the production and supports real time interference avoidance by ensuring clean backup frequencies for Axient.

Advanced Power Management- the system’s intelligent battery technology allows the user to view the extent of remaining battery power (accurate to within 15 minutes), monitor percentage of capacity, gauge how long it will take to reach a full charge, and track overall battery health; minimizing the likelihood of any battery-related issues occurring while microphones are in use

Transmitter Remote Control- for additional flexibility, Axient’s ShowLink Remote Control provides engineers with the ability to make real-time remote adjustments of all transmitter parameters without ever leaving the control booth.

Wireless Workbench 6- the intuitive design of Shure’s event planning and control software gives users a rich graphical interface for viewing the RF world and choosing optimal frequencies for all wireless channels during production
