ARCS WIDE and ARCS FOCUS are designed for medium-throw applications in rentals and installations. Both operate as a horizontal or vertical array with high SPL, perfect acoustic coupling, solid LF performance and constant tonal balance over distance. ARCS WIDE generates extensive coverage (N x 30°) with a compact array preserving sightlines. ARCS FOCUS achieves a higher SPL and throw within half of the coverage angle (N x 15°). These plug and play products provide intuitive coverage with no simulation software needed.
Because energy is focused in one plane, the ARCS enclosure offers higher SPL than a similarly formatted point source system. This helps to get longer throw in comparison to a similarly formatted point source system. The ARCS products also offer two distinct directivity planes. One plane offers high directivity, ideal for avoiding reflective surfaces or segmenting the audience. In the other plane a very smooth radiating pattern is ideal for left-right situations and stereo imaging. With ARCS, the more enclosures, the more coverage is provided. Whether one enclosure or many are selected, there is no destructive interference, no cone filtering and no loss of energy. As the number of enclosures increase, so does the impact of the system. Therefore a small ARCS package can sound like a large system. ARCS emulates a point source: the tonal balance remains identical from the first row to the last row. Every audience seat hears the same mix.
The ARCS are distinctly different to any other arrayable enclosure in the market. The DOSC wave guide in each ARC’s creates an isophasic wave front that perfectly matches the curvature of the box. Because of this, they combine together seamlessly. The L-ACOUSTICS ARCS constant curvature products offer the same sonic signature as our larger format touring systems such as V-DOSC and K1.
