The Allen & Heath MixWizard WZ3:16:2 is a rack-mountable 16 channel mixer that includes 16 mono input channels with 6 aux sends and 4 bands of equalization; internal dual stereo effects processor with MIDI interface; smooth travel 100mm faders; dedicated mono output fader capable of controlling aux-fed subs; system expandability; rotating connector panel for desktop, rack or flight-case mounting.

Includes an integral stereo effects processor, as well as a recessed ‘dual FX’ mode switch that enables auxes 5 and 6 to each feed an independent effects processing engine, each having 8 presets available. The internal FX parameters may be edited via MIDI using a PC running the Allen & Heath FX Editor software. Internal effect presets and parameters are selectable and editable via a MIDI IN connection. The effects processor output is provided with a facility for sending in mono to aux mixes 1-4 using individual rotary controls, each with +6 dB maximum boost. Internal jumpers enable odd-numbered auxes to be fed from the left effects channel and even-numbered auxes to be fed from the right effects channel. The stereo return connections for external devices are on ¼-inch jack sockets with L normalled through R for connection of mono sources. A rotary control is provided to feed the stereo return to the main LR mix, with +6 dB maximum boost.
Aux masters 1-6 each feature a rotary level control with +6dB maximum gain. Main mix LR and M outputs are controlled using individual 100mm faders, each providing +10 dB maximum boost. The M fader can be sourced from a mono sum of the LR mix or the aux 6 mix bus, determined by a recessed mode switch. A comprehensive monitor section is provided with a rotary level control and ¼-inch jack headphone socket. Source selection defaults to post-fade LR mix. A bank of switches enables alternative sources to be selected.
