Riedel Rocknet

RockNet is a scaleable, network solution using redundant ring topology specifically for live sound production. Designed to link up to 99 devices into one single network, any of the 160 audio channels can be “dropped” to a maximum of 800 outputs in the bidirectional network. Using CAT 5 cable and RJ45 (EtherCon) connections, a fiber optic converter is also available.

All products feature front-panel facilities to allow configuration without a computer, however, a PC can be connected via a USB interface for monitoring and control. A word clock input and output is provided, as is a free-wheeling data port that resembles a distributed Ethernet hub. A front panel RJ45 connector on all products presents a 10/100BaseT interface that can be adapted for the transport of control data such as MIDI, Serial, DMX etc. (
