Includes 28 XLR mic inputs and can be expanded to up to 48 inputs (44 XLR mic inputs), 30 configurable buses, 16 DCAs and 20 mix processing channels. The console surface features an 8.4-inch touch screen, 20 fader strips in four layers, assignable rotary controls and a color-coded channel LCD. Onboard I/O includes 4 XLR mic/line inputs, 4 XLR outputs, 4 RCA inputs, 2 RCA outputs, and digital outputs in SPDIF and SES3 formats. The main stage box is the 3RU AR2412, which provides up to 24 XLR inputs and 12 XLR outputs. Two additional 1RU AR84 expander audio racks can be added, each with 8 XLR inputs and 4 XLR outputs.
The stage boxes connect to the GLD-80 via Cat-5 with runs of up to 120 meters using the A&H dSnake protocol. Standard option cards can be installed for Dante, MADI, Ethersound, ADAT, Waves, and A&H ACE protocol. Aviom Pro16 personal monitoring can be connected to a port on the main audio rack, and connection to the Hear Back system from Hear Technologies is available via the MMO option card. Two-track recording to USB is available from a variety of sources or the mix master. The GLD-80 measures 28.7 x 22.7 x 6.2 inches (w x d x h) and weighs 46.6 pounds.
