PreSonus hosted a dynamic pre-show launch of several new products, including the new StudioLive 32.4.2AI 32-channel digital mixer. Shown here with Matt Conrad, Rodney Campbell and Bob Landry, the new mixer is outfitted with a dual-core computing engine offering more than 64 times the processing power and 10,000 times more RAM than StudioLive 24.4.2. Also new are StudioLive AI-series active loudspeakers equipped with wireless or wired remote control and monitoring using an iPad or laptop. Collaborating with Fulcrum Acoustic co-founder Dave Gunness, PreSonus incorporated custom TQ algorithms with dynamics processing, FFT tools, and performance monitoring into theonboard DSP. AI-series loudspeakers are available in three configurations. Each self-powered, 3-way model utilizes a custom-designed, 8-inch coaxial speaker with a 1.75-inch titanium compression driver to reproduce the mid and high frequencies. PreSonus also received PSW Readers Choice Awards for the StudioLive 24.4.2, Studio One Professional 2.5, Virtual StudioLive and ADL 700 channel strip.
