Joe Rimstedt draws on his field experience as a sound technician with Ringling Brothers and his previous factory background with Meyer to help customers who have technical questions about the proper selection and use of NEXO systems. Jim Norton was also able to transfer his experience with Meyer to his new position as NEXO USA’s sales coordinator.

Harry Klane

Early this year NEXO USA added Harry Klane as national sales manager. Klane’s mission is to build a strong nationwide distribution network that provides good growth opportunities for NEXO USA, its representatives and selected dealers. Rather than experiment, NEXO again “started at the top” by hiring Klane, who has proven his ability to build and manage successful, fast-growing sales networks for Denon and EAW.

Another recent addition to the organization is brand architect Chris Doering. Like his co-workers, Doering has a strong track record with high end loudspeakers, having managed marketing for EAW and Renkus-Heinz.

"The minimum amount of experience of the current staff is 12 years," Sides points out, "and many of us have 25 or more. What attracted all of us to NEXO are the unique engineering solutions that create dynamite products and the support from NEXO SA senior management: it's second to none. We are really proud to be part of a global organization that brings dedication, passion and professionalism to our industry. And we have a hell of a lot of fun doing it."

Geo array in vertical configuration.

The NEXO USA team is currently bringing its experience to bear on the American debut of NEXO’s patented GEO Technology. The first group of products to incorporate the GEO hyperboloid reflective wavesource is comprised of small, compact loudspeakers designed for a range of applications that includes performing arts centers and AV facilities of up to 2,000 seats.

"What's revolutionary about GEO is that with this technology, a user can array multiple loudspeakers in either the horizontal or vertical configurations and produce a coherent wavefront,” he says. “GEO technology has raised the bar for high performance loudspeaker systems: along with high output and flat frequency response, it really delivers coherent sound in multi-speaker arrays. This is critical for both sound designers and the general public, who want and expect something they can’t get at home.

We plan to explain the new concepts behind GEO Technology and demonstrate their application via the GEO S805, S830 and CD12 in some of the venues where they would tend to be used."

The “top down” approach has helped NEXO achieve rapid penetration in the competitive US loudspeaker market. "What has taken other companies 10 years or more to do in the States, we've been able to do in just three,” says Sides. “Great products supported by sound business practices and dedication really give our dealers and their customers the tools they need to deliver consistently superior sound.”
