Uncle Bill on... Safety Inspections
“CRASH!!!” The last sound anyone
wants to hear on the job site… You can imagine the damage
that a 30 pound lighting instrument will do when it
falls from 45 feet up, or when the entire back wall
of a set breaks away from the pipe batten and crashes
to the floor. People call these incidents "accidents"
but that's a misnomer.

Uncle Bill on Motorized Rigging
Sung to the tune of "The shinbone is connected to the kneebone". Okay? Everybody join in… "The motor is connected to the gearbox and the gearbox is connected to the cable drum. The cable drum is connected to the cable and the cable lifts the piece."
