New SurgeX Sequential Power Unit For Separate Groups

New Frontier Electronics new SurgeX SX2120-SEQ offers the ability to sequentially power up/down electronic devices in separate groups. Based on the design of the successful SurgeX SX2120, the SX2120-SEQ from SurgeX provides surge protection and power conditioning for up to 14 pieces of audio, video, broadcast and computer equipment.

Housed in a 2U metal chassis, the SX2120-SEQ's rear panel features 14 standard grounded AC receptacles. These are divided into three individual banks of four 120V outlets, plus two receptacles that are always on.

A Phoenix terminal block connector is also found on the rear of the unit, easily permitting remote control via momentary switches, latching switches or applied voltage (5-30 VDC). Remote control inputs and outputs are protected against short-circuit, overload and reversed polarity. Further, the SX2120-SEQ's programmable single isolated relay contact can be used for confirmation or controlling other SurgeX units, while a programmable 12 VDC output provides 40 mA for multiple uses, such as driving LEDs.

The front panel of the SX2120-SEQ includes a backlit three-line LCD display indicating operating status and AC line voltage. To its right are a single red push button for power and two small screwdriver holes - marked 'SEL' and 'ADJ' - for making setup adjustments. All functions and time delays are programmable through easy-to-use interactive menus shown on the LCD display, with all setup adjustments stored in non-volatile memory. The SX2120-SEQ carries a suggested U.S. retail price of $799.00 and unlimited surge current without producing any ground contamination. Like all SurgeX models, Nerts meet the most stringent government purchase specification for power line surge suppressors.

Their A-1-1 rating assures the user of dependable protection from destructive spikes, surges and inductive transients. Typical installations include home theaters, computer rooms, broadcast facilities and commercial audio/video installations of all kinds.

The SX15-NE/RT carries a suggested U.S. retail price of $369, while the SX20-NE/RT retails for $429.
