New High Power Amplifier From STK

The new STK VS34 Power Plus amplifier provides up to 3400 watts (total at 2 ohms) in a package weighing only 34 pounds.

It features dual, independent power supplies. These multi-stage power supplies are loaded with a large number of capacitors that absolutely ensure solid, on-demand low frequency response. In fact, the primary application for the VS34 is for subwoofer arrays. The 8-stage power section ensures that the output devices run at a nominal 60-degrees C.

The front panel of the VS34 offers level controls for each channel, power switch and LED status indicators for power, signal presence, clipping, protect and bridge mode. The rear panel offers both 1&Mac218;4" and XLR inputs and binding post plus Speakon outputs. There are switches to enable the on board limiter as well as the low cut filter. Another switch allows the user to select the low cut filter frequencies of either 30 Hz or 50 Hz. A fourth switch enables the bridge mode. All switches are recessed to prevent accidental movement.

Power output specs are 2 X 800W into 8W, 2 X 1250W into 4W and 2 X 1700W into 2W. The bridge mode capability is a maximum of 3400W into 4W. Power consumption is a hefty 3800 Watts and the unit is equipped with the appropriate power cord and plug.

The STK VS34 Power Plus retails in the US market for $1795.95.
