Sound Physics Labs Debuts Versatile SPL-trik Monitor/Speaker

Sound Physics Labs (SPL) has introduced the SPL-trik, the latest addition to the company’s Boundary Compliant line of loudspeakers.

With a 60 degrees by 60 degrees coverage pattern from the mid/high horn, combined with a unique cabinet design, the SPL-trik can be used as either a floor monitor or a standard loudspeaker. It includes four 8-in direct radiating low frequency drivers, a four 4-in horn-loaded midrange and a 1-in high-frequency compression driver, loaded to the same horn.

Frequency response is 44Hz - 18kHz +/-3dB. SPL-trik has an enclosure made of 13-ply Baltic Birch capped by durable Line-X Truck Bed Liner (the same material that coats contemporary pick-up truck beds!). It measures 17.5-in x 19-in x 35.5-in. Weight is 108 pounds. The SPL-trik lists for $2,495.
